By accessing or using the raipii API, dashboard, SDKs, or any associated services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms form a binding agreement between you (or the organization you represent) and raipii. "You" and "your" refer to the individual or entity accessing the Service.
raipii provides a PII detection and sanitization API for use in AI/LLM pipelines. The Service detects and replaces personally identifiable information in text inputs before they are sent to language models, and can reverse those substitutions after the model responds.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service with reasonable notice, except in cases of emergency.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key. All activity under your API key is your responsibility. Notify us immediately at hello@raipii.com if you believe your key has been compromised.
You may rotate your API key at any time from the dashboard. The old key is immediately invalidated upon rotation.
You may not share, sell, or transfer your API key to any third party except as part of a legitimate integration within your own organization.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these acceptable use terms without prior notice.
The Starter tier is free and subject to the character limits described on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly based on characters processed. Pricing is available at raipii.com/#pricing.
For accounts subscribed through a cloud marketplace, billing is governed by the marketplace's terms and your subscription agreement. raipii does not process payment card information directly.
Unused character allowances do not roll over between billing periods. Overages are not automatically permitted — requests that would exceed your monthly limit return a 402 error.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
You represent that you have the right to submit the data you send to the Service and that doing so does not violate any applicable law, regulation, or agreement.
The Service, including all software, algorithms, models, documentation, and trademarks, is owned by raipii and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service.
You retain all rights to the data you submit to the Service. You grant raipii a limited license to process that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. RAIPII DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT IT WILL DETECT ALL PII IN EVERY INPUT. PII DETECTION IS PROBABILISTIC — SOME ENTITIES MAY NOT BE DETECTED.
YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VALIDATING THAT THE SERVICE MEETS YOUR COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS BEFORE USING IT IN REGULATED CONTEXTS.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RAIPII SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
RAIPII'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO RAIPII IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless raipii and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, or damage arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third-party rights.
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the dashboard.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or if we reasonably believe continued access poses a security or legal risk.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (limitations of liability, indemnification, intellectual property) will survive.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
